Vicki PannebeckerVicki began her grief journey on September 11, 2000 when her 11-yr-old daughter died in a minor, survivable car accident. Jamie Snow buckled her seat belt and reclined the front passenger seat to nap on the way home from school. Just 2 blocks from home, traveling less than 40 mph, their car hit a utility pole. Jamie was thrown forward to the shoulder harness, the seat came forward and hit her in the head with such force that she died of a severe brain trauma without a mark on her.

Car makers have known since the mid-70s that reclining seats are dangerous. They feel the warning in the owner's manual is enough, Jamie's parents disagree. It has become their mission to educate the public about the dangers of reclining seats in moving vehicles through auto safety events, public speaking, a safety DVD and their webpage.

In loving memory of Jamie Snow - Buckle tight and sit Upright
